Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest National Park and a favourite destination for Gulu safaris. The park is situated north of Masindi , approximately 100 kilometers from Gulu. Boat trips operate from Paraa to the foot of Murchison Falls and take approximately 3 hours. These enable you to see hippos, crocodiles and birdlife up close. There are also nature walks to the Top of the falls and also at Koniyo Pabidi Forest reserve , where you can trek Chimpanzees. Koniyo Pabidi is on the Masindi -Paraa road, 8 kms from Kichumbanyobo ( main) park gate.

Itinerary- 2 Days Murchison Safari from Gulu
Day One: Depart Gulu to Murchison
Depart Gulu at 9:30am for Murchison falls.We access the park via the northern gate of Purongo gate,We will do a simple game drive for an hour and then head to the ferry crossing. Have a lunch break and have a boat safari experience takes approximately 2 hours to the bottom of the falls. Dinner and Overnight at Tilenga Safari Lodge or similar
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After an early breakfast, We cross with the ferry by 7am and straight away start on a 3 hour game drive where we hope to see lots of wildlife including lions, giraffes, Elephants, Warthogs, water bucks and lots more. After the game drive, We return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter depart for Gulu.
