Day 1: Depart Gulu for Kampala

On day one, we shall depart Gulu mid morning for Kampala.We arrive in Kampala late evening.Dinner and Overnight at Kampala Hotel.

Day 2 Kampala/Bwindi

You wiGorilla tracking adventurell be met by your guide , then embark on an 8- 10 hour drive to bwindi. Enroute we  pass through papyrus swamps near to Lake Victoria , tracts of tropical rain forest and the rolling plains of Ankole cattle country. Mbarara is a colorful and friendly market town .We drive southwest into "The Switzerland of East Africa" The paved road turns to all weather dirt road. The scenery includes areas of high hills and low valleys that are for the most part farms. We arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a World Heritage Site famous for Gorilla trekking.

Day 3 Bwindi National Park

Gorilla Tracking Day. After breakfast we take a short drive to Park Headquarters to meet with the local guides and trackers who will instruct us on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest to begin the trek which can take from 1 to 6 hours and climb to altitudes in excess of 7,500 feet. The terrain is rough and although the hike is physically demanding the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking a worthwhile adventure. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world.

Day 4 Bwindi/Queen Elizabeth

Depart through the western rift valley to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Early morning drive to Kyanbura Gorge for a thrilling Chimpanzee safari. The gorge is thHippos-Queen elizabeth national pare natural home of chimpanzees. Your guided walk in search of the chimps and other primates, may last several hours. After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. This waterway is filled with schools of hippos and buffalos .Elephants are often spotted on the banks.

Day 5 Queen Elizabeth/Kibale Forest

On a morning game drive watch the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. Visit the Katwe saline to see how salt is mined locally, and learn the roles of the local women, in salt mining. Drive Back to Kampala
