Kidepo valley national park boasts of a great diversity of animal species than any other other parks in Uganda. These include carnivores, ungulates, and primates. There are high chances of viewing tree climbing lions that are always lying on sauces trees along Narus valley or on the rock just as you enter the Apoka Park Headquarters and the lodge. Right from Apoka Safari Lodge other animals that can be seen include elephants, leopards, bush duikers, jackals, bush bucks, bush pigs, kavirondo bush babies, buffaloes and much more. Itinerary
Day 1- Depart for Kidepo
Depart Gulu at 7.00am after and early breakfast, and drive via Kitgum. The journey takes appx 3-4 hours . we arrive at Kidepo mid afternoon, and after lunch we enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and enjoy wildlife from the verandah of the lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge/ Apoka bandas
Day 2-Game drive & Community visit After an early breakfast, go for morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich.
Have lunch at the lodge. In the evening have a cultural experience by visiting the Karamjong people at Karenna and Kapedo
Dinner and overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge/ Apoka bandas
Day 3; Transfer back to Gulu and Gulu sight-seeing tour.
After Breakfast, we embark on the 4 hour drive back to Gulu.End of Safari
