Day 1;Gulu to Murchison Falls
Depart Gulu at 6.30am after an early morning cup of tea/coffee start the day with a drive to the MFNP. We access the park via the northern gate that is Tanga Gate. The game drive then begins as soon as we enter this gate, On the drive you may see different animals unique to the African Savannah vegetation. These include lions, leopards, giraffes, antelopes, elephants, and many warthogs. Go to the lodge for lunch and later take a launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise which takes you to the bottom of the thundering falls involve a scenic view of schools of hippos, huge crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds such as the rare shoebill, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, skimmers, fish eagle, kingfishers and herons.
After the boat safari we head back to Gulu. Day 2. Gulu Sight seeing and Culture Tour
An opportunity to acquaint one’s self with Gulu Town, a walk in the streets, market place give a great feel of this land. This is followed by a visit to the famous lacor hospital, where most of the LRA victims were treated with help of the catholic missionaries who fully fund this hospital. A visit to the IDP camp sites is key in this trip as it carries lots of memories of the dark days and atrocities suffered by these innocent people. The highlight of this visit is a testimony from a victim of this insurgency. This tour is crowned by a cultural gala composed of traditional dance performances from the native acholi people. This an opportunity to share a light moment with the people and also appreciate the joy of living peacefully
